Explanation of terms used:

  • Advocate and Sponsor

These two words are used by the Blessing Family Departments of the FFWPU worldwide interchangeably, they mean the same thing.

  • Advisor and Supporter

These two words are used by the Blessing Family Departments of the FFWPU worldwide interchangeably, they mean the same thing.

For the sake of clarity and consistency Cheon Il Guk Incorporated and the Online Matching System (OMS) are going to use the following terms:

  • Applicant:

An individual who has registered on the Online Matching System and is working on creating a very good profile. At that point this individual does not have access to the list of potential spouse.

  • Candidate:

An Applicant who has the qualification necessary to search for a potential spouse. Cheon Il Guk Incorporated and OMS do not qualify the Applicants. They must qualify according to the requirements of their Blessing Family Department.

  • Advisor:

An individual who is trained by the Blessing and Family Department of their country to help families and individuals who seek the Marriage-Blessing to fulfill that goal. Their responsibilities are greater than that of an advocate. They will have access to all information concerning individuals looking for a spouse. In North America, Advisors are testing once a year on their understand of their responsibilities and required to attend twice a year advance training.

  • Advocate:

An individual who knows the person who is looking for a spouse very well. This individual can be a friend, or a sibling. This individual will have the same rights as the Applicant in helping create a good profile and the Candidate in helping with the search for a spouse.
